Coral Beach Hotel headlines the national news

This evening the main news item on ZNS covered a demonstration outside the Bahamas Immigration offices in Downtown, Freeport held in response to the official position published in the Freeport News this week regarding Bruno Rufa's 'supervised departure' in September and his recent return to the Island.

Whatever point of view one takes on this matter, this publicity is bad news for the Coral Beach community. How good it would be to return to the times when we could do the electric slide under the stars by the Pool Bar on a Thursday evening with no thought of taking sides if we mixed with one group rather than another.

I believe the slide can start its return as soon as the negative catalyst is removed.
He & his cohort have wittingly or unwittingly caused the polarization.
In any event he does not display leadership qualities.

Enough is enough. I cannot believe how things have spiralled out of control here. In all the years of being at Coral Beach the only times I remember news reports or any kind of publicity was to announce or report on the wonderful events happenning at Coral Beach...like BASRA or pool bar events open to ALL.If Bruno had an ounce of decency and concern for a community of which he is a member AND OWNER he would step down. How much more will it take before he realizes his "leadership" is NOT wanted anymore.

Good for the Bahamians!!!!!! Who was protesting? Does anyone have a link so that I can watch the broadcast online here from the US?

This is a sad time for Coral Beach. Is there no one on the board that really cares about the well being of the owners and the good of Coral Beach? If there were, then where are the resignations?

I usually don't post anonymously but I fear retribution and retaliation. What does that say about our board of directors?

Coral Beach is now making negative national news because of the "president". Disgraceful.

Between Bruno's continuing scandal, Mario's alleged questionable involvement and Phil's undeniable incompetence Coral Beach is a mess.

I don't know how things could be more clear: BRUNO GO HOME! PHIL STAY HOME! MARIO COULDN'T YOUR EFFORTS BE BETTER SERVED ELSEWHERE, LIKE THE CHILDREN'S HOME?

For heaven's sake! You are not wanted here and if you had any integrity you would resign.

If the rest of the board wasn't so seemingly spineless you would stand up and say this is wrong!

Hey Pat

I can't dance, but I am ready, willing and able to try the electric slide....

Lets go girls....

Please understand, the rest of the Board is in cahoots with him, otherwise they would speak up. There must be something in it for them too.
And if you think it is bad now, wait until they are re-elected for next year. WATCH OUT CORAL BEACH OWNERS !

Your will have to adjust your 'electric slide' to a shorter glide because someone has planed a palm tree in the middle of the dance floor. Go figure!

Who Was Protesting?
I’ll tell you who was protesting – I was there and ZNS interviewed me on the TV – I am a PROUD Bahamian, I am disgusted with the “DURTY” skullduggery that is going on in Freeport. It goes deep and Bruno is only one spoke of the wheel. The Bahamians are up in arms about the connections that are being made – Immigration, Business and Tourists – REALLY NOW! Bruno is his own worst enemy; he has said once too often that he has the Assistant Immigration Director in his back pocket – RUFA - You are not welcome to live amongst us anymore!

Last year you used the Bahamas Immigration Department to scare off some of the foreign owners who were running for the board. And they went to Nassau and received Clearance from Minister Shane Gibson. This goes to show all of the owners how Freeport Immigration was being USED by Bruno as a power play. There is no such thing as “BI Clearance” He made that up.
But on Friday January 4th Myself and other Bahamians took the fight to the doorstep of the Immigration Department; calling for the resignation of the Assistant Director. Bahamians have been saying the Immigration Department is “NO GOOD” for a long time. Now they all see it – right in their face politics.
This has only just begun…Thousands are coming.
