Men have been busily painting the steps down to the beach, the tiled ramp and concrete pathway to the pool deck from Building 3 and the raised deck area all a nice shade of sandy brownish/yellow. I wonder if the path to the beach from Building 1 will be painted too?
The hedging along the beachside wall has been trimmed and the garden lawn is edged and mown.
The old heavy round tables by the pool deck have been repainted a bright white, they were all inside the 'compound' at the Pool Bar drying this afternoon. No doubt the chairs will soon appear and the social gatherings will begin. No shuffleboard action yet - and do I remember correctly that there was talk last winter of a bocca pitch being set up somewhere around the complex?
All the lighting is being checked, including the exit signs, and the 'blown' bulbs replaced.
The thatch on the tiki huts may be somewhat haphazardly applied but I understand from Jacques that the cost differential between a $30 job and a $150 one was taken into consideration.

Let's look at the difference in the cost of doing the Tiki Huts for $30 or the higher number.

Done Wrong
or
Done Over
Please take your pick. You can already see tons of sky through the $30 Tiki thatching and the sand in the morning looks like the sink after my husband combs his hair.....get my drift?
Also add-
Do over roof repairs
Do over terrace repairs
Do over pool heating
Do over fence around pool
Do over hurricane proof windows
Do over spalling job
and on, and on, and on

I agree. At what point are we going to stand up and say enough is enough.
Mistake upon mistake only adds up to alot wasted money and the initial problems still exist. This is running us into bankruptcy. Old habits die hard I guess.
STOP GUESSING AND HIRE QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS WHOSE WORK WOULD COME WITH A GUARANTEE!
