This is a re-type of a letter sent to the Board by Maggie Vander Woude:
First of all let me say Bravo to Pat Lihou's Blog and for helping us stay connected at Coral Beach. In the Treasurer's letter you were applauding those who commit their time serving long hours to improve Coral Beach. Well, there's another name that should be added to your list. (Pat says - thank you Maggie - I believe communication is fundamental to good governance)
Yes, most owners do remain anonymous on the Blog, but that's a real easy one to figure out. If they failed to vote for you or ran against YOU or even are friendly with someone you consider 'an enemy of the people'....someone like Charmaine, they are targeted by our Board. My rental privileges have been revoked three times in the last year. Once for 'past guests attitudes and actions'. Janice McQuaid was that guest and we all know what a hell raiser she is. Was it the yoga she was doing on the patio that tipped the balance?
Last April you said 'No' to an application for my SON. Yes, that's right, my son. Three days before he was to arrive I was given approval for my son to use my condo. Call me paranoid, but doesn't this seem to have taken a rather personal turn?
In September my rental rights were revoked again (see copy of letter sent to Blog) and you asked for verification that my rental units are registered as investment property with the proper Bahamian Authorities.
Two questions for the Board.
*Who is on the Rental Committee?
*Tell me what paperwork you are looking for.
Give it a name or form number or better yet, show me a copy of the paperwork Marie Fanelli and Sandra Giorgio submitted from the proper Bahamian Authorities to Coral Beach that shows their rental business is registered. This way all of the guesswork will be removed and we (I assume all renters will be curious) can move on.

What !?! Not letting you rent after they have been telling all the owners "everybody can rent".
That's kinda like telling us they're saving us so much money, while on the financial statement it looks like we're running out.
Or, like telling us they are the experienced and competent Board, all the while every major project is in jeopardy from mismanagement.
Does anyone else see this pattern of fabrication of the facts?
Maggie:
When you receive an answer back from the board of directors regarding what forms they think they require, could you please let all the owners at Coral Beach know.
I am sure that we have the necessary paper work, but then again one never knows.
This is the first I am hearing about additional paperwork. I only own one unit, so does that make a difference?
When we submitted our application to the board to buy then knew we were planning to rent on occassion, also our attorney knew this as well.
They okayed our application!! So what does that mean???
Thank you!!!
I'm sorry we did not support you when this happened. There were rumors but frankly, we were all afraid of
losing either our privileges or some sort of retaliation from Bruno.
We will not let this travesty continue again this year. Please stay strong and God Bless
This is the first I have heard of having to register your property with Bahamian authorities as investment property. In fact, I understood the BOD to be telling us that the whole reason we had to have Bahamian property managers (whether your rent or not) is to avoid any type of registration requirement. I distinctly recall the BOD proclaiming that rentals would be presumptively approved so long as you were current on your account and had an approved manager. And Phil has the gall to ask why people post anonymously? It's because of the Gestapo like tactics the BOD uses to get even with people who oppose them.
Maggie
As and owner that rents, have you heard back yet as to what paperwork we need. Want to make sure all my bases are covered.
Or we will all be in the same boat??
